Sanitary and storm sewer replacement is in full swing from the intersection of Broad Street and North Second Street down to the railroad tracks on Broad Street. Utility relocation, newly constructed ADA compliant sidewalks and LED street lighting will follow. After nearly 3 years of planning, collecting funds (1.55 million dollars in grants) and coordination with all utility companies, the time for Central City’s transformation and infrastructure upgrading is finally here. There is more good news coming for the city as we continue to improve our infrastructure and appearance moving forward. We thank you for your continued patience with road closures and re-routing, it’s going to be worth it in the end.
