On behalf of our city council and employee family, I would like to welcome you to our city.
I hope you will take time to browse through our website, which is designed to inform our residents and businesses about the many services and activities we have to offer.
Central City was founded in 1873 and is home to approximately 5890 residents. We are a small town with a big heart. We offer many services that you would find in much larger cities.
Our city government operates on just three basic rules, to protect, to provide and to promote. We are proud of our city and we feel that we have many amenities. Along with our parks, Rails to Trails, Central City Convention Center, outdoor pool and spray park, our new Lu-Ray Amphitheater and the Everly Brothers Museum we have many activities throughout the year that will make you want to be a part of our family.
We are fortunate to have the most caring citizens you will find in any small hometown city. We are business friendly and welcome everyone to be a part of our community. We are a proud and progressive city and we invite you to come and visit or call Central City home. You are always welcome!
